What is the application folder and where do I find it?

The application folder is the place where you can upload relevant documents as additional information for your subscription. The content of the documents will only be available to the landlord/administrator, when you have expressed final interest in an offer and given consent to the access.

You can access the application folder from the side menu on your profile dashboard, as shown below:

(Alternatively you can access the folder via "edit profile" on your profile dashboard)

Documents in the application folder

As part of your application the landlord might require the following documents.

  • SHUFA BonitätsCheck
  • Salary slips
  • Landlord recommendation letters
  • ID Verification

The added documents will most likely be part of the process for selecting the new tenant. We recommend that you upload all relevant documents and update them frequently to have the most recent versions available for the landlord.

Add and delete documents

To add documents simply press the three dots and select "+ Update your information" as shown on the picture below (1). If you cannot add the document you can select this option directly underneath.

Documents will automatically be deleted 180 days after they have been uploaded, in accordance with GDPR. You can see when the file was uploaded and the date it will be deleted on the dates under the file name (2). You can postpone deletion of all your documents in the application folder by pressing "Postpone deletion of all documents" (3) or for a single document by pressing "Postpone deletion" (4). The date of deletion is automatically updated when you press postpone.

You can always delete your uploaded documents by pressing the bin icon (5).

Why don't I have an application folder?

The application folder is only available for users based in Germany or users with at least one subscription to a German list. If this does not apply to you, you will not have access to the application folder, as it is only relevant in the cases above.
